As a small business owner, an HR manager or a corporate executive, you are charged with making important decisions that will further the success of your business while at the same time minimizing expenses. At Vitality Expressed, we want to partner with you to make your workplace more productive.
Why is it important to implement a program that will promote wellness in the workplace?
Quite simply, because your employees are a key determinant to the success of your business. Happy, healthy, appreciative employees will do a better job. After participating in a wellness program, they will be more alert, focused and have greater creativity and problem solving abilities.
Investment in a regular wellness program has been proven to offset workplace stress and office politics which increases employee morale which in turn decreases employee turnover. Employees who regularly participate in a wellness program enjoy more vibrant health and mobility and therefore take fewer sick days which in some cases lowers insurance premiums. Studies consistently show healthy returns on investment with an average of $3.15 for each $1.00 spent on a wellness program. (*Studies involved large corporations.) You may also want to check with your tax specialist to see if a wellness program is a tax deduction for your type of business.
What does a wellness program involve?
We offer many different avenues to introduce well-being into your workplace. They may be used alone or in combination with each other for a greater affect.
On-Site Chair Massage: Our most popular offering! We bring to and set up portable massage chairs in a location that you provide. Not much space is required (approximately a 5' x 6' area per station). The recipient of the massage (who remains fully clothed) receives a neck, back, shoulder and arm massage. (Massage of the head is optional as we do not want to unintentionally mess up any hairdos.) At the end of the massage, the therapist will spray the chair with a sanitizing solution, clean their hands with an anti-bacterial agent and provide a fresh face rest cover. Then it's on to the next massage. For more information please see our chair massage page.
Office Yoga: We can provide an easy "Stretch, Breath & Relax" type of a program that can be done sitting on a chair or a more vigorous flow that would require some open space. Regular classes could be scheduled in the morning, evening or over the lunch hour. A yoga break will also serve as a great energizer at a meeting or conference or can be a one-on-one service. Fitness Programs: We are fighting a war on obesity and it is important to the health of our nation as well as a plus for Corporate America for there to be an emphasis on fitness coming from the workplace. In a seminar format, we can teach ideas on how to invite fitness into daily life; we offer personal training services and can bring group classes to your workplace which may include low impact cardio classes, body toning classes, boot camps, training for corporate walks or runs, or a variety of fitness programs are available.
Guided Visualizations: Guided mediations, concentrations and visualizations on topics such as goal achievement, milestone achievement, stress reduction, increasing productivity/creativity, etc., are available to aid the best and the brightest in seeing and believing and achieving. This may be booked as a one-on-one appointment or a small group session.
Educational Seminars: Speakers are available to talk about a variety of subjects including stress management, goal setting, weight maintenance without dieting, living light (eco-friendly offices) etc.
Gift-Giving: We will take all of the hassle out of providing corporate gifts. Instead of a tray of chicken wings or cookies, consider sending a wellness basket or provide an hour or two of chair massage for a client's employees. You are sure to be fondly remembered. Please contact us regarding your gift giving needs and your budget and we can provide you with some exceptional gift ideas.
Ad-ons: Arrangements can be made to provide your company's promotional materials, along with other gifts such as wellness baskets, with any service.
How often should my company offer a wellness program?
